Your journey begins at Shin Chitose Airport, followed by a private transfer to Lake Utonai where is known as a “paradise for wild birds” and a crucial stopover for migratory birds like whooper swans and greater white-fronted geese. After enjoying Sapporo, transfer to Asahikawa by 2 hrs ride. Your first activity in Asahikaw is making “Furoshiki”. You can choose your own design from several samples and the local staff will teach you how to work on it.

After having lunch, visit the drift ice museum and learn how drift ice makes this area’s ecosystem so unique and diverse.
After learning about drift ice, enjoy drift ice sightseeing cruises. An icebreaker ship sails through the Sea of Okhotsk to break through the large frozen mass of drift ice. You may also spot wildlife like seals and Steller’s sea eagles. The cruise takes about 1 hour.
After cruising, transfer to Lake Akan and relax at Onsen.
