CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 STATEMENT

Updated: 3 April 2020 – 13:00 JST

The situation regarding COVID-19 and its spread is rapidly changing, and Heartland Japan is closely monitoring the advice given by governments, medical experts and the travel industry across the world.

COVID-19 has had an intense and negative impact not just on the tourism industry, but on the lives of people living across the world. As a company with close links to communities across rural Japan and a network of clients and partners in almost every continent, the safety of everyone we work with is of the utmost priority to all of us here at Heartland Japan. For that reason, we are not currently running any tours until May 2020, at which point we will once again evaluate whether or not it is possible or safe to resume operation.

Heartland is currently in contact with all partners and clients who have booked tours with us that are due to take place within the next few months, and we are offering the chance to reschedule trips to a later date to all affected.

If you are scheduled to take a tour with us in the next few months and we have not yet been in touch, please send an email to your Heartland Japan representative or to info@heartlandjapan.com, and we will respond as soon as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time, and hope that you all stay safe over the coming months.
