Itinerary

Day 1

10:15   Tour starts from Tsuwano Station
10:45Visit Kurashi no Yado, a 200-year-old private house including helping pick vegetables from the garden for lunch.
Enjoy lunch and learn how to make uzumemeshi, a local dish, from local a mother
13:00Stroll around Tono-machi, Tsuwano’s main street that runs through its historical district. Local guides will take you to places where you can enjoy Tsuwano’s seasonal events and scenery, varying depending on the season.
16:00Check-in at your accommodation, Kurashi no Yado.
18:00Dinner at local izakaya restaurant
20:00 Optional activities:
① Visit illuminated Inari Shrine
② Witness a local club activity or experience (taiko, yosakoi performance, judo, kendo etc.)
Return to your accommodation

Day 2

You will be without a guide for the day!
7:00 Optional activity:
• Early morning walk from Otome-toge Pass to Yomei-ji Temple with zazen experience
10:00 Check out after breakfast
Leisure Time.(180min. )

① Enjoy matcha with a view of a beautiful Japanese garden 
② Make genji-maki (famous confection and hallmark of the Tsuwano region)
③ Make Japanese paper
④ Visit Hori Teien Garden (15 min by car)
⑤ Cycling tour of the town
⑥ Short hike from Taikodani Inari Shrine to Washibara Hachimangu Shrine via Tsuwano Castle Ruins (approx.2hr)
⑦ Shopping at a local roadside market (8 min by car)
⑧ Green tea tasting at a tea store
