Story
The village of Takata, a short drive upriver from downtown Shingu, is a lovely place to be–nestled in the surrounding Kumano Mountains with the beautiful Takada River running through it. The crystal clear water of Kuwanoki Falls tumbles 21 meters on its way to join this river. Officially chosen as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan, the water seemingly erupts out of a tranquil sea of green life, pouring down a wall of ancient rock surrounded by lush forest and moss-covered boulders. For this tour, visitors will ride electric bicycles from Takata Green Land to Kuwanoki and walk to the waterfall, accompanied by a local guide. The paradise of green on the way is one of the many highlights of the tour. Enjoy the homemade breakfast provided upon arrival at the waterfall, a perfect accentuation to the spectacular view. Immerse yourself in the unrivaled nature found in Kumano and bring yourself peace of mind and body.
