Overview

Starting from the Kusunoki Learning Forest, the cultural center of the Kusunoki area, this program includes a walk around Okazaki Hachimangu Shrine, one of only four shrines in Japan licensed to brew sake, and Funaki Shukuba, which flourished in the Edo period, and a visit to the Tamashige Koto Factory.

The tour will also visit the Tamashige Koto Factory while walking around Okazaki Hachimangu Shrine, which has a license to brew sake from four companies in Japan, and Funaki Shukuba, which flourished in the Edo period (1603-1868). At the final destination, “Tamashige Koto Factory,” Akihiko Tamashige, the fourth generation koto player, will carefully explain the history and manufacturing process of the koto. You can also tour the workshop and try your hand at playing a koto.
