Sawano and DINE’s Adam Waxman have known each other for years. About seven years ago, they traveled together through the rural areas of Shimane, where they had deep and immersive experiences—playing soccer with children in Ōnan Town and visiting an English class to engage in conversations with local students.
This experience left a lasting impression on Adam, offering him a glimpse into a side of Japan beyond the typical tourist destinations. It remains one of his most cherished highlights from his travels.
