The Matsumoto City Adventure Tourism Training Course was held for two days from October 1st, sponsored by the Matsumoto City Tourism Promotion Department.
Guides who are active or just starting out in activities in Matsumoto City, Azumino City, and even outside the prefecture gathered on a clear autumn day at Norikura Highlands to begin the training.
We were in charge of the AT overview at the beginning of the first day. This was followed by “Guiding Skills” in the second part and a fieldwork lecture in the afternoon, so we had an in-depth meeting in advance to work out the content of the training from start to finish, with the aim to discover something different from the previous training courses we had joined to highlight and share.
The participants were all different in terms of their goals, from those who are already guides to those who want to work as guides in the future, that said, they were all very enthusiastic and the atmosphere was extremely positive over the two-day period.
Since last year, I have been involved in the creation of the experience of making Ninja Emergency Biscuits, this year I decided to step up guide training. It was great to see the participants of the training having so much fun and really connecting with the courses’ content.
I would like to liven up Nagano Prefecture even more by connecting with the Eastern and Southern nearby areas of the Shinshu Region.
